Choise language version for site:

If you want to get a good result you should know in what direction to move. This rule is valid for all the spheres in a person’s life.
So if you’ve made a decision to have a command of a foreign language, why you don’t ask or even don’t know what you should ask to achieve your aim in the right way.
What are the questions you ought to ask when you are on the level of making a decision?
We offer you a list of basic questions and approximate answers which will influence your choice.

Question1. What level of knowledge and in what period will I be able to receive on your courses?
You should be told in details what level of grammar and vocabulary you will have in a certain period of tome.
As far as the period of studying is concerned you are to be aware that a long-lasting studying does not always mean quality. All today’s modern technologies are aimed at giving basic knowledge in a short period of time. The process of the profound studying and gaining communicative skills will cover your lifetime. Only you can decide how much time you will pay to it.
So the period of your studying and your level of knowledge should be clearly defined by the programme.

Question 2. What technologies will be used in the process of studying
We don’t advice you to agree to the classical way of studying as it takes about two years, demands much effort and usually doesn’t give a good result. In the modern world there exist new technologies which will let you receive knowledge quicker and more effectively.
You should be told in details what technologies will be used during the process of your studying.

Question 3. Is there any possibility to try these technologies?
Your personal life experience shows that theory and practice are different things. In theory everything can look very attractive but in practice it doesn’t work. The courses which use new technologies organize free trial lessons or broadened consultations which will give their future student an opportunity to try the new methods.
Don’t forget that a trial lesson or a broadened consultation, which will let you draw your own conclusions about the choice of the system are an integral part of your decision which courses to choose.

Question 4. Will I get homework? What will it look like? How much time will it take me?
Any system of studying foreign languages, it doesn’t matter how interesting and modern, includes homework. Its aim is to revise the material learned at the lesson and to work on the new material on your own. Homework should include the revision of grammar material, learning words and doing exercises. Time-consuming translations and retellings are indicators of  an obsolete approach to the studying of foreign languages. Tasks like this only waste your time leaving no trace in your memory. You must know this from your previous, usually unsuccessful, experience. Working on the new technologies you are to spend from 45 to 80 minutes on your hometask.

Question 5. What schedule will I be offered to follow?
The schedule should be well organized and have the same periods of time from one lesson to another one to revise the material and do the hometask. For example Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Wednesday, Saturday.
Question 6. What is the maximum number of people in one group?
There cannot be more than 12 people in the group and their number should be fixed in your contract. The studying of a foreign language, first of all, is connected with conversational trainings and a good conversational practice is possible only if the number of people in the group is limited.

Question 7. How is the level of knowledge controlled on your courses?
The courses of the foreign languages, unlike school, don’t use totally shocking checks-up. But serious courses have a certain testing system of checking the student’s progress to give the students an opportunity to control their progress and enable the teacher find the weak points in each student’s knowledge and to get rid of them.

Question 8. What kind of teacher will teach me?
It doesn’t matter how interesting and modern the system is, it is clear that the teacher’s personality plays a very important role in the process of studying. That’s why ask  about the teacher’s education and his working experience. Serious courses will offer you a CV of your future teacher.

Question 9. How can I be sure in the quality of studying on your courses?
The ideal variant is to have some acquaintances of yours among the graduates of these courses. This way you can get the maximum of information about all pluses and minuses of these or those courses.
Respectable courses of foreign languages have their history so they have more than one group of graduates. As a rule, thankful graduates leave their responds about the system of education and the teacher, they have worked with. On your request you should be offered to get acquainted with these responds.

Question 10. What certificate will I get after finishing your courses?
After finishing the studying serious courses must give a certificate but you should remember that the only thing that matters is not a certificate but a good command of a foreign language which is your way to understand the world and to get the promotion.

And the main thing! Please, analyse: if you buy furniture or a car you look through many variants to choose yours, that is the one which corresponds to the correlation of price and quality.
Your investment into the studying of foreign languages is not less important than the purchase of the furniture or car. This is a precious investment into your personal, cultural and even moral development. Don’t be sorry to spend time and money on it but be attentive as far as the choice of the courses is concerned.
